St-Germain is My Friend
I usually order an iced tea with dinner, and I am rarely ever seen with a drink. I sometimes go months without sipping the nectar of the gods and I don’t ever really miss it. That’s until Nina came along and St-Germain came into my life.
Ni is my college friend who recently hopped on a flight from Newark and moved to the left coast setting up camp this summer in beautiful, Santa Monica. One night on a stop at the M Street Kitchen, she turned me on to The Blossom and I haven’t been the same since.
What have I been missing all this time? How come it has taken me this long to find this wonderful gem?
Native to France, St-Germain is a liqueur made of elderflower blossoms and I think I’m in love. I’ve been a woman on a mission to find out how to make this drink and tonight I found the recipe thanks to Eater LA. Hallelujah!
Try it. I promise you…you will see angels.
:: THE BLOSSOM ::
Build in a 12 oz carafe
1 oz St-Germain
3 oz Champagne
Fill with soda
Finish with a splash of peach liquor
Serve on the rocks with a twist of lemon.
