T-minus 10! The countdown has begun and Whole Foods, the world’s leading natural and organic foods market, will open it’s doors for the Grand Opening at Fashion Island in Newport Beach on September 19th!

The day of the Grand Opening, the community will have the opportunity to experience everything the speciality market has to offer and even have the chance to take some treats home. Whole Foods is not your everyday run of the mill market, this culinary paradise will revolutionize the way you see and experience grocery shopping.

An ‘Express’ wine and beer bar with 12 beers on tap :: In-house executive chef :: Meat department filled with the finest cuts of locally sourced, 100% grass-fed beef, chicken, and turkey :: Sustainably sourced, fresh and seasonal, seafood :: Rolled-to-order-sushi :: Grass fed and raw milk cheeses :: A burger program, in-house smoker and ‘Get Crocked’ section that features complete meals that can be prepared at home in your crockpot :: 1300 gluten-free items :: Step Cleansing program at the juice bar :: Outdoor seating and Wi-Fi :: 

And it that is not enough to make you want to cry the finest merlot…

Whole Foods Newport Beach has The Tea Hive, a fusion cafe and tea bar will selections of green, black or oolong tea, paired with natural fusion entrees like bowls and wraps, and the casual Back Bay Tavern, a cozy bar/restaurant with a rotating selection of 24 craft beers on tap, and an menu packed with beef, seafood, vegetarian and vegan plates.

So make sure to mark your calendars because you are not going to want to miss the “Bread Breaking Ceremony” which will commence at 9 a.m. on the 19th. If you are among the first 300 customers, you will receive a complimentary demi-baguette. Throughout the day, you will also have the chance to nosh on amazing food, wine tastings, local vender demonstrations and Happy Hour specials inside the Back Bay Tavern.
