Life After Top Chef :: Giveaway
Tonight is the second episode of Bravo TV’s highly anticipated Life After Top Chef. Have you seen it? Do you LOVE it? The Trend Tribe does! And now we’re giving one lucky reader their very own piece of signed Top Chef swag!
Ahhh… Remember that time when I judged Gail Simmons-style the dishes of celeb chefs Fabio Viviani and Richard Blais on the Southern California stop of Top Chef: The Tour? Ah yes, I’m still dreaming of Fabio’s cold corn and grape salad topped with pan-seared cod, spicy chili sauce, and shaved parmesan cheese. It still hurts a little too that I chose Fabio’s dish over the dish of my chef-crush Richard Blais. You know…Richard Blais…my Twitter crush + wannabe boyfriend…wink, wink.

Just before I sat down at the judge’s table, Fabio Viviani and Richard Blais autographed a copy of How to Cook Like a Top Chef. The hardcover cookbook features recipes, techniques, and interviews from Bravo’s hit show and the foreword is written by renowned chef Rick Bayless. Recipes include episode winning dishes such as seared scallops with fennel cream from Jamie Lauren of Season 5, a ginger-lemongrass panna cotta from Stefan Richter of Season 5, and tandoori pork ribs from Dale Talde of Season 4. Fabio’s contribution to the book includes a pasta demo and a recipe for roasted chicken and potatoes while Richard talks molecular gastronomy and shares his recipe for coffee-braised pork shoulder.

That afternoon, the chefs entertained us with talk about Bravo’s new reality show, Life After Top Chef, they were in the midst of filming and this was news to us! Along with Viviani and Blais, cameras followed chefs Spike Mendelsohn and Jenn Carroll, as all four try to make something of their Top Chef fame. Life After Top Chef airs Wednesday nights at 10pm/PST on Bravo. #LifeAfterTC

Oh there are so many I liked. Chef Dave Martin was pretty cool. I ran into him in Williams-Sonoma in South Coast Plaza. He left OC for NYC though. That was a disappointment. Then I have to give props to Brian Malarkey. He’s worn the Top Chef name proud. He has a frikkin empire of restaurants in San Diego now. And I know Searsucker is totally rad. I ate there. What a memorable meal. But my hands down favorite has to be Jennifer Carroll. She rocks.
