Comme Ça :: Las Vegas
Comment t’allez vous? Comme ci, Comme Ça. When asked how one is doing en Francais, it’s a typical response which translates to, “so-so.” I can tell you, the famed French restaurant, Comme Ça, in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on the Strip is anything but. Our Trendsetters were invited to nibble and sip at Comme Ça during our Influencers Weekend. Though all of the participating venues were amazing, Comme Ça stood out as “Most Original Cuisine”. And here’s why…
Walking through the doors, it seems like an upgraded French bistro taken from the Champs Elyse and transplanted with a Vegas vibe. The illustrations and handwritten menus placed loosely in a soft, red, leather cover give it that je ne sais quois. And, true to French fashion, it’s hard to tell if you are over dressed or just right for the atmosphere presented in the restaurant. The music and decor tell you to relax, as the waiter hands over their eclectic hand crafted cocktail listing.
Every cocktail ordered was simply delicious. I ordered my regular, the White Mint, a concoction of vodka, sugar, fresh mint, lemon and champagne. Which turned out to be the perfect blend for the culinary experience we were about to enjoy.
Comme Ça Executive Chef, Chef David Myers, known for his unique dining experiences and award-winning culinary concepts, tested our adventurous side that evening. With dishes including Charred Calamari, Roasted Bone Marrow and Oxtail Jam, and Smoked Tongue, I have to admit, I had to talk myself into some polite bites, and I’m pretty daring when it comes to trying new foods. I am glad I tempted fate and took a taste of each dish. Honestly, the Roasted Bone Marrow was a bit much for me, but surprisingly the Smoked Tongue and the Charred Calamari (which is served whole, as if just pulled from the sea) was quite enjoyable. Of course, the Salmon Tartar, Fois Gras and Handmade Charcuterie topped my favorites list.
After the most talked about dinner of the evening, our group ventured over to take in the striking view of the Las Vegas Strip. The outside seating area at Comme Ça is the perfect place for some traditional Vegas photo-ops, with a coincidental view of the Eiffel Tower, just as if you were dining on the Left Bank.
If you are dining with a larger group, and want to feel like VIPs, there are two options available at Comme Ça Las Vegas. An outdoor cabana area with a flat screen TV, cocktail tables, a comfy extended booth and a stunning view of the Strip provides a more casual atmosphere and a perfect place to gather the crew to catch the game or the latest episode of Real Housewives. While the Private Dining Room is just that. Private. Both seat approximately 12-16 guests and reservations are suggested with plenty of advance notice.
We had a fabulous time at Comme Ça Las Vegas. It was a unique part of our evening, which gave our Influencers Weekend a new dimension of exploration in the world of foodie trends.
