Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection
Target, in conjunction with Neiman Marcus, is getting ready to launch their biggest and best designer collaboration to date. And I plan on being at Fashion Island before 8 am, Saturday, December 1, 2012, to get first crack at this unprecedented Holiday Collection. If you have experienced the launch of one of Target’s past designer collections, you know that lines form early and merchandise goes quick. And this will be no exception. There are several ways to shop these exclusive and coveted items with pop up shops inside both Target and Neiman Marcus stores as well as online shopping via both retailers.
With items like Oscar de la Renta designed pet accessories ($29.99 – $59.99), a Derek Lam skateboard ($99) and Rodarte wrapping paper ($7.99) it is possible to find something for every single person on your gift list this year. To accommodate expected demand, purchase quantities will be limited and there will be a shortened return policy. On my wish list is the Tory Burch beverage container ($24.99) and the Tracy Reese dessert plates ($39.99) and although he doesn’t know it yet, my husband wants the Men’s Sweater designed by Rag and Bone ($69.99).
My favorite part of the Target designer collaborations are when the designers branch out a little from what they usually do. From the looks of things, this Holiday Collection will feature much of that. I’m sure it isn’t every day that Band of Outsiders creates cookie cutters ($29.99 for a set of 5). But what I just might be even more excited about is the super creative way in which the companies will create original content for ABC’s hit show, Revenge! Instead of airing boring old commercials, the special episode, airing Sunday, November 11, 2012 will incorporate the Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection right in to the show via 5 vignettes. I can’t wait to see if Victoria Grayson will primp in the Judith Leiber compact mirror ($59.99)! Target and Neiman Marcus are setting the bar ridiculously high and further cementing their dominance in designer collaborations.
And in the spirit of giving, Target and Neiman Marcus will jointly donate $1 million dollars to CFDA, the non-profit trade association which offers programs that support professional development and scholorships and much more.
Now, the question is, what time will you be in line at Neiman Marcus Fashion Island?
